Disturbed's album, Immortalized, is their sixth studio album. Disturbed's first studio album since Asylum (2010) was released on August 21, 2015 by Reprise Records, marking the band's longest hiatus between studio albums in their career.
Immortalized is Disturbed's sixth straight number one debut on the Billboard 200 chart, with 98,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week. After Metallica and Dave Matthews Band, they are the third band in history to accomplish this accomplishment.
The album's third single, a version of Simon & Garfunkel's 1964 classic "The Sound of Silence," was Disturbed's highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 42, and has subsequently become the band's biggest hit since "Down with the Sickness."
On June 25, 2015, Immortalized was revealed, along with the release of the lead song "The Vengeful One." An animated video made by director Phil Mucci accompanied the single's release. On July 24, the album's title single was released alongside an official lyrics video. On July 31 and August 7, two more tracks, "Fire It Up" and "What Are You Waiting For," were released.
